Commencing at 10 a.m. sharp this past Saturday, youthful surfboard builders Ryan Lovelace (25, of Santa Barbara) and Ryan Burch (22, of Encinitas) simultaneously displayed their talents for onlookers at Sacred Craft
(sacredcraftexpo.com) in Del Mar, California. Lovelace mowed one of his "v.Bowls" from a chunk of Marko Virgin EPS, while Burch sliced and diced to eventually reveal his latest asymmetrical interpretation in honor of Carl Ekstrom, the event's honoree.
